Day 63 Blended Learning keeps the ship sailing

Day 63: One day before Thanksgiving break, and as an administrator our desire and hope before the holidays is that we will see highly engaging, relative, and appropriate instruction. In the years I have been in education, many times before holidays and breaks this time of rigorous and appropriate instruction seemed to only take place with our most motivated teachers. This has been an age old occurrence year after year and every administrator I talk with about it, it happens at their schools also. When we started our journey on blended learning, I did not realize until today that blended learning is the answer to the continuance of highly engaging, small group instruction with technology programs that have the element of student control over the time, place, pace, and path of their learning as holiday breaks approach. I was so impressed with our teachers and students today as I entered each classroom and did not see random movies, or random thanksgiving crafts, or random worksheets. What I saw was excellent instruction and student engagement! Great job staff. Below are some of the highlights from Day 63!

SmartyAnts classroom room awards for the week!

Station rotations in full swing!

WorldWide Champion B.A. won a digital camera for finishing in 1st place!

Great new quote added to the wall of fame!

What will share with a student tomorrow to change their day?!
