BLENDED LEARNING T.O.W. MRS. WEBB
Q. How long have you been teaching?
I have been teaching for 28 years, in kindergarten and Pre-K. I have taught
24 years in Rowan County and 4 years in Texas.
Q. What grade do you teach?
Kindergarten
Q. How has your first year went with blended learning?
I absolutely love Blended Learning! At first, I was very hesitant and worried
that the kindergarteners wouldn’t be able to handle this. We worked very
hard in the beginning on building stamina and they have amazed me at how
long they can work independently and how easily they rotate.
Q. How has BL changed your thoughts about teaching?
Blended Learning has made teaching so much easier. With small groups, I can
really focus on student needs. Students are working on their level and at
their own pace. I love the technology part and the fact that each student
has their own iPad.
Q. If you had one word to describe BL what would you say and why?
Rejuvenated! This is how I feel in using Blended Learning this year. Blended
Learning has brought that love of teaching back. I feel like I can meet the
needs of all my students by using individualized instruction and small group
rotations. Plus, the students love it!
