The Starfish...Day 17

We can't believe it's Day 17! It seems like yesterday we were preparing for the First Day of School. We are over half way into our first month of school. And in 17 days, we have definitely been working hard to ensure we are reaching our SMART Goals.

In a previous post, we stated that implementing Blended Learning is a process, not an event. We are making great strides in the process. Our staff at Hanford Dole remind us of the girl in The Starfish Story, who decided to take a stand despite the naysayers.

No matter what others have said about blended learning, our staff have decided to embrace the implementation of blended learning. We are only on Day 17 on our journey, with a lot more to come. Remember this is a process and not an event. Everyday our staff is making a difference...with at least one starfish, with some component of blended learning. 

See, blended learning goes beyond just the curriculum, it is creating a holistic partnership between staff, teachers, students, and parents. We are all part of a puzzle that must work together to see the bigger picture. And as we continue this process, we will continue to be like the little girl in The Starfish Story. We will pick up each starfish and make a difference as we continue on this process. It is mattering to many...
