*Day 7 of our Blended Learning Implementation addresses one of our SMART Goals for this year. Goal 3: 100% of parents and community will be involved in the innovation efforts of High Quality Blended Learning. Today we hit the jackpot and added to reaching that goal by landing a student teacher from Livingston College a HBCU and 10 undergraduate students who will be doing student teaching from Catawba College! This adds to the student teacher we already have in 2nd grade. Our Community in Schools program has been adding tutors by the bushel fills to work with students on their their core skills! Check out the research on the benefits of a one on one tudor. It causes major acceleration in achievement!
*We have partnered with Chick-Fil-A to partner the Core Values Program that promotes character. We are the 1st school in the county to use this program with such a respected franchise as Chick-fil-a!
*Our Parental and Community Involvement Committee head Ms. Craven is meeting with her team tomorrow to prepare for a cultural fair!
